Robert "Bobby" Clark, Jr.

Robert “Bobby” Clark, Jr. of Des Moines, passed away on October 3, 2024, of cancer; surrounded by his loving family.

Bobby was born on September 16, 1947, to Bob and Ardis Clark. He spent his early years growing up on his family farm, which eventually became Willow Creek Golf Course in 1961. Bobby attended Valley High School and joined in the Air Force in 1967, serving his country for four years. Following his time in the Air Force, Bobby returned to his roots and worked for Willow Creek Golf Course. In 1977, he met the love of his life, Rita Louise Schnoor, who he married on March 17, 1979. In 1986, they welcomed their first son, Jason. A year later, they welcomed their second son, Adam, to complete their family. Bobby was also a proud grandfather to Carson, who was a welcome addition to his family in 2015. Family was the most important part of life to Bobby. He enjoyed every minute with his wife, children, and grandchild.

Bobby is survived by his wife, Rita; his sons, Jason and Adam; his grandson, Carson; his brother, Daniel; and his sisters, Susan and Lori; as well as his nieces, nephews, and in-laws.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Ardis, his father, Robert; his brother, David; his father and mother-in-law; and his brother-in-law, David Schnoor.

Family will be greeting friends on Saturday, October 19, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home; 5400 SW 9th Street, Des Moines. Funeral service will immediately follow the visitation at the funeral home. Bobby will be laid to rest with military honors at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery; 9244 SE Orilla Road, Cumming, Iowa.
